Mystery Man Defies Odds Of 25,000/1 To Scoop Early Christmas Present

A William Hill punter from Swindon has scooped a massive £26,993.96 from just £1. The mystery punter placed an unlikely 20-fold football accumulator online and included teams from all over Europe in his selections. 19 of the games were winners whilst the other game was a postponed game between Lech Poznan and Widzew Lodz.

The punter has overcome odds of over 25000/1 and has taken Hills to the cleaners. His usual bets are football accumulators from around the world including English, European and South American football.

“Anyone who has done an accumulator will know that it is tough enough predicting five teams to win, let alone 20. We are sure that the winter blues will be banished by this bumper payout,” said Hill’s spokesman Joe Crilly.

Jol-y Good For Geordie Martin

MARTIN’S JOL-Y GOOD CHANCE OF GETTING NEWCASTLE JOB….

MARTIN JOL is the new 4/5 favourite to become Newcastle manager with William Hill following his departure from Ajax. Hills make Alan Pardew 5/4 second favourite and also offer 8/1 Martin O’Nell; 10/1 Alan Curbishley; 16/1 Peter Beardsley; Joe Kinnear.
‘This is a typical pattern in the early stages of managerial markets. Punters rush from one potential contender to another every time a story breaks apparently linking certain available bosses with the job. I’ll be surprised if there aren’t several more gambles before the ultimate outcome is known’ said Hill’s spokesman Graham Sharpe.

Grant Next To Go Following Hughton Departure

Following the departure of Chris Hughton, William Hill have reopened the betting of the next Premier League manager to leave. West Ham manager Avram Grant is the 7/4 favourite ahead of Wolves manager, Mick McCarthy, and Manchester City’s Roberto Mancini both at 5/1. For another manager to go before Christmas is 7/4.

“Chris Hughton’s departure came as quite a shock seeing as he was 16/1 at the start of the weekend. Under-Fire Avram Grant was the favourite to go before we suspended betting and now the market has reopened he is once again walking on a knife edge” said Hill’s spokesman Joe Crilly.

Pards Is Heavily Backed For Toon

William Hill’s market for the next Newcastle market has only been open for an hour and a half and Hill’s have already taken nearly £10,000 on Alan Pardew. He opened at 7/2 but has been backed in to 4/6. Martin O’Neill is the 7/2 second favourite with Alan Curbishley at 8/1.

“So far the only potential candidate we can lay is Pards and it would not surprise us in the slightest if he were to get the job,” said Hill’s spokesman Joe Crilly.

WHAT A GLOVELY BET!

WITH BOSS Ian Holloway revealing his dislike of the trend for players to wear gloves, William Hill have opened a book on how many of his players will turn out for kick off of their game with Manchester United this weekend sporting the hand-wear. ‘Ian is unashamedly old-scholl and he is no fan of players wearing gloves – but we reckon a few of his players may defy their boss and wear them for the United game’ said Hill’s spokesman Graham Sharpe.
