The previous record total was 171 goals in 1998 and Hills offer 6/4 that 172 or more will be scored this time round (including extra time but excluding penalty shoot-out goals), 1/2 that 171 or fewer will be scored.’Every ball which appears at a tournament seems to create some sort of panic amongst keepers, concerned that it will make them look incompetent – but they’re probably getting their excuses in early if truth were told!’ said Hill’s spokesman Graham Sharpe.
