Arrested Developments: Cole Could Find Himself In Hot Water Once More

William Hill have reopened betting on the next Premier League footballer to be arrested following the news that Ashley Cole is likely to escape punishment for his air-rifle shenanigans. Cole heads the betting at 7/1, with another of football’s not-so-squeaky-clean luminaries, Joey Barton, 8/1 to be the next Premier League footballer to be arrested for a new offence. John Terry is the 10/1 third favourite.

“Ashley has been off the front pages for quite a while now but recent revelations have seen him return with a flourish. The odds suggest that Cole could become quite the rogue over the next few months ,” said Hill’s spokesman Joe Crilly.

Hills have already paid out on Craig Bellamy and Jack Wilshere and could still find themselves paying out on Cole if he is arrested over the air rifle incident.
