Wenger To Go To War With City Over Nasri

News reports suggest that Roberto Mancini has hardly endeared himself to his opposite number at Arsenal over a perceived lack of respect relating to Samir Nasri. Hill’s feel that Mr. Wenger’s suspicions may have weight to them, offering 8/13 that Nasri’s next club is Manchester City, while they go 6/5 about him moving to the red side of Manchester.

“The continuing saga surrounding Nasri’s future has turned ugly with the odds suggesting that he may well be turning out in the blue of City before too long,” said Hill’s spokesman Joe Crilly.

Hills are also offering betting on where the two clubs finish following Arsenal being pipped into fourth by City. The odds indicate that City will finish higher than the Gunners once again with Mancini’s men odds on at 8/13 to finish in the top two and 1/2 to finish above Arsenal.

William Hill Mancini vs Wenger Odds:

Samir Nasri Next Club: 8/13 Manchester City; 6/5 Manchester United; 8/1 Chelsea; 25/1 Real Madrid; 33/1 AC Milan

Cesc Fabregas Next Club: 1/4 Barcelona; 7/2 Real Madrid; 8/1 Manchester City

Downing Or Young – Who’ Ll Make More Impact ?

DOWNING OR YOUNG – WHO’LL MAKE MOST IMPACT AT NEW CLUB?

WILLIAM HILL have opened a book asking whether Stewart Downing or Ashley Young will score the most Premier League goals and make the most Premier League starts next season for their new clubs. Hills make Young odds on to score more goals for Man U than Downing does for Liverpool, but Downing is odds-on to make more starts for Liverpool than Young will make for United. ‘These are two high profile players who will be under pressure to perform to an elevated level to justify their transfer fees’ said Hill’s spokesman Graham Sharpe.
HILLS ARE BETTING ON WHICH OF THE TWO WILL LEAVE HIS NEW CLUB FIRST – AND MAKE DOWNING 8/11 TO GO BEFORE YOUNG, WHO IS EVEN MONEY TO DO VICE VERSA.
And with Liverpool steadily bringing more English players into their squad, Hills have opened a book on how many members of their first Premier League game starting line-up v Sunderland will be Englishmen – making 4-5 their 6/5 favourite.

Premier League goals match bet:

Stewart Downing 7/4
Tie 5/1
Ashley Young 4/6

Most Premier League starts:

Stewart Downing 10/11
Tie 7/1

How Many English Players Will Start For Liverpool vs Sunderland:
3 or less 11/4

The odds of Stewart Downing’s next permanent club being Liverpool have also been slashed, from 4/7 to 2/9 while Arsenal have been pushed out from 13/8 to 3/1.

Three Lionesses Backed For Win Against France

England’s Women progressed through to the Quarter Final of the World Cup and bookmakers, William Hill, make them 9/5 to defeat France in the next round. Les Bleus are 6/5 slight favourites but despite this, Hope Powell’s recruits have been well backed by punters with over 60% of all bets being staked on them to win. Should the game go beyond the 90 minutes, Hills are offering 12/1 that England win in extra time and 11/1 they win on penalties.

England are relative outsiders to go on and win the competition, offered at 20/1, quite a way behind favourites, Germany, at 5/6 and Brazil at 7/2. The Three Lionesses are 8/13 to be knocked out at the Quarter Final stage and 6/5 to qualify for the Semis.

“England were very much improved against Japan while the French side are coming into the game on the back of a heavy defeat to Germany and our punters are backing them to come good,” said Hill’s spokesman Joe Crilly.

England’s Kelly Smith came into the tournament as the Golden Girl of the team, however, she has failed to find the net once during the tournament and has been backed by Hill’s punters NOT to score during the remaining games. Originally offered at 8/11 not to do so, she has been backed into 4/6, but she is 11/10 to get off the mark.

Outright: 5/6 Germany; 7/2 Brazil; 13/2 USA; 14/1 Sweden; 16/1 France; 20/1 Japan; 20/1 England; 50/1 Australia

Stage of Elimination: 8/13 Quarter Final; 5/2 Semi Final; 9/2 Runner Up; 20/1 Winner

England v France (qualification): 6/5 England; 8/13 France

To win in extra time: 12/1 England; 11/1 France

To win on penalties: 11/1 England; 10/1 France

Who Will Be Next S P L Boss Out ?

Betting without Calderwood, but:
WHO’LL BE NEXT SPL BOSS TO LEAVE HIS CLUB?

WITH HIBS’ BOSS Colin Calderwood reportedly set to leave Hibs, William Hill have opened a book on who – excluding Calderwood – will be the next SPL manager to leave his club and have installed Jim Jefferies of Hearts, St Johnstone’s highly rated Derek McInnes and Kilmarnock’s Kenny Shiels as their 4/1 co-favourites. ‘Kenny has lost some of his best players and replaced them with some as yet unproven new ones, Derek is probably coveted by bigger clubs, while Jim needs results to match the strength of his squad if he’s not to come under pressure’ said Hill’s spokesman Graham Sharpe. ’However, this looks a very open market.

William Hill: The Odds (Without Colin Calderwood) for next SPL boss out:

4/1. Shiels
4/1. Jefferies
4/1. McInnes
9/2. Butcher
7/1. D. Lennon
10/1. Brown
12/1. McCall
16/1. N. Lennon
16/1. Houston
16/1. McCoist
20/1. McIntyre.

Kid Kai 1000/1 To Pla For England

KID KAI 1000/1 TO PLAY FOR ENGLAND

WILLIAM HILL say they have received a number of queries about 7 year old Northampton youngster Kai Fiefield, who reportedly recently had a trial with Barcelona’s young players, eventually growing up to play for England. ‘We regularly take bets for youngsters to play football and other sports at senior level for their country – but we will only do so from the parents of the child involved when they are this age. I would be more than happy to take a £100 bet at odds of 1000/1 from Kai’s parents about him eventually winning a senior football cap for England’ said Hill’s spokesman Graham Sharpe.

Women’s World Cup: You Bet Kelly’s Eye Is Out

Kelly Smith has been backed at William Hill NOT to score at any point during this year’s Women’s World Cup following three straight games firing blanks. She had been as short as Evens to score at any point, but has drifted to 11/10, while the odds of her not to score have been cut to 4/6 from 8/11. England are 9/5 to defeat France and 6/5 to suffer defeat. The draw is offered at 11/5. At 20/1 to win the tournament, England are quite some distance behind 5/6 favourites, Germany. Brazil are 4/1 and the USA are 12/1.

“Kelly Smith has been in good form without finding the net, but despite this, our punters are refusing to back her to score during this tournament,” said Hill’s spokesman Joe Crilly.
