Mancini Magic Lost Its Shine – Evens To Have Left By Next Season

Reports have today suggested that Manchester City’s recent downturn in form could result in the loss of Roberto Mancini’s job. William Hill make the Italian Even money to have departed City by the start of next season (8/11 to still be there). Even more humiliating for City, will be the fact that the race could well be over by the time the two sides face each other at the Etihad on the 30th April. Hills offer 11/10 that is the case (4/6 it is not). Hills offer just Even money now for Manchester United to win the league by seven or more points.

“City appear to have well and truly blown it,” said William Hill spokesman Joe Crilly. “The derby was being billed as a title decider but following City’s recent slump, it could all be over by then.”

Sam Allardyce has been given the deadly vote of confidence by the West Ham board, who claim his job is safe even if he fails to take the club up this season. Hills agree offering 1/3 that he is still there on the first day of next season (9/4 he is not).

Fernando Torres has shown recent good form and William Hill think his torrid time at Chelsea may be coming to an end. He is 4/6 to go to the Euros and just 1/4 to still be at Chelsea next season.

Hatem Has Arfa Chance Of Getting Goal Of The Season…is Motd’s Dream Team On The Way Out?

Hatem Ben Arfa scored one of the goals of the season for Newcastle against Bolton on Monday although William Hill think that his effort still falls some way behind Peter Crouch’s effort vs Manchester City. Crouch is 4/7 to win Match of the Day’s annual Goal of the season competition, with Ben Arfa 6/1. Hills also offer 15/8 about any other goal winning the accolade.

“With Ben Arfa and a couple of screamers from Robin van Persie this season, there is nothing to say it is a Crouchy certainty, but he has set quite the benchmark,” said Hill’s spokesman Joe Crilly.

With rumours suggesting that the current Match of the Day ‘dream team’ of Lineker, Lawrenson and Hansen may be squeezed out to make way for younger blood, Hills are offering 7/1 that none of them return to the studio next season, it is however, 4/9 that they all return.

2/1 For Balotelli AND Mancini To Have Left By Next Season

Hills are offering 2/1 that both Mancini and Balotelli will have left Manchester City by the start of next season, 1/1 that just one of them will still be there and 9/4 that they are both still there.

They also offer 4/7 that Mancini will still be there (5/4 he has gone) and 8/13 that Balotelli has gone (6/5 he is still there).

“Mancini has shown his forgiving side in dealing with Carlos Tevez, but Balotelli may well have pushed his manager over the edge,” said Hill’s spokesman Joe Crilly.

Match of the Day Goal of the Season: 4/7 Peter Crouch; 6/1 Hatem Ben Arfa; 15/8 Any other player

How many of Lineker, Hansen and Lawrenson will be on MOTD next season: 7/1 none; 2/1 one or two; 4/9 three

Top goalscorer: 1/7 Robin van Persie; 4/1 Wayne Rooney

Top four finish: 1/14 Arsenal; 8/15 Tottenham; 7/4 Chelsea; 10/3 Newcastle

Winner without Manchester United and Manchester City: 1/6 Arsenal; 4/1 Tottenham; 10/1 Chelsea; 20/1 Newcastle

Will Mancini and Balotelli still be at Manchester City next season: 2/1 both gone; 9/4 both still there; 1/1 One gone

Balotelli still at Manchester City at the start of next season: 8/13 yes; 6/5 no

Mancini still at Manchester City at the start of next season: 4/7 yes; 5/4 no

LMA Manager of the Year: 6/4 Alan Pardew; 13/8 Brendan Rodgers; 7/2 Paul Lambert; 11/1 David Moyes; 12/1 Sir Alex Ferguson; 33/1 Harry Redknapp; 33/1 Roy Hodgson; 33/1 Steve Kean; 40/1 BAR

United Now 1/6 For Title, Wolves As Good As Down – 5/1 For No More Wins

William Hill are now offering 4/1 that City win the title (United are 1/6). It is 3/1 for the title race to be decided by the time the Manchester derby comes around on the 30th April. Roberto Mancini is Even money to no longer to be in charge by the start of next season (8/11 to still be there).

Wolves have been cut adrift at the bottom of the table and William Hill make them 1/20 to be relegated. Terry Connor has failed to win as boss of Wolves and William Hill make him 1/8 to no longer be in charge on the first day of next season (9/2 to still be there as boss). In what would be an embarrassing climb down, Hills offer 12/1 that Mick McCarthy returns to Molineux as manager this season. Wolves are 5/1 to fail to win for the rest of the season.

United 1/3 For The League And 4/1 To Do So By Seven Or More Points

United 1/3 For The League and 4/1 To Do So By Seven Or More Points

Manchester United moved three points clear of Manchester City and William Hill make the Red Devils 1/3 to win the League, with City 9/4. Having moved three points clear, Hills are now offering a market on how many points they win the League by. They are 9/4 to fail to win the League and 11/2 to win the league on goal difference. They are 11/4 to win by one to three points and the same price to win by four to six points. They are 4/1 to win the League by seven or more points.

“United rode their luck a little bit against Fulham and that is the kind of thing they will have to do from time to time if they are to win the League,” said Hill’s spokesman Joe Crilly. “The difference between United and City at the moment is that neither side are playing vintage football, but United are still winning and that is tilting the balance in their favour.”

United had a number of players on the pitch tonight who will be hoping to be going to the Euros with England, with Rio Ferdinand one of many who had a solid game. He is 8/11 to be on the plane (Evens not to). Phil Jones is 1/3 to go, Smalling 8/11 and Danny Welbeck 1/5. Paul Scholes is 4/1 to make the squad after he came on to replace Wayne Rooney.

William Hill Odds:

Premier League outright: 1/3 Manchester United; 9/4 Manchester City; 200/1 Arsenal

To make Euro 2012 squad

YES
Michael Carrick – 3/1 (2/9 no)
Chris Smalling – 8/11 (EVS no)
Ashley Young – 4/7 (5/4 no)
Danny Welbeck – 1/5 (10/3 no)
Phil Jones – 1/3 (9/4 no)
Rio Ferdinand – 8/11 (EVS no)
Tom Cleverley – 3/1 (2/9 no)
Paul Scholes – 4/1 (1/7 no)

How many points will Man Utd win the league by?
Not win the league 9/4
Goal difference 11/2
1-3 points 11/4
4-6 points 11/4
7 points or more 4/1

Crouch 6/4 For Goal Of Season As Pards 9/1 Boss Of Year

WILL CROUCH STOOP TO CONQUER IN GOAL OF SEASON AWARD?

PETER CROUCH’S stunning strike against Manchester City is a 6/4 chance with William Hill to win Match of the Day’s Goal of the Season award. ‘We think it will take something special to stop Crouch lifting the Award, but there are plenty of games still to be played, and we’re also offering 1/ 2 that someone beats him’ said Hill’s spokesman Graham Sharpe.

PARDS 9/1 FOR BOSS OF YEAR

ALAN PARDEW is 9/1 with William Hill to be voted LMA Manager of the Year this season. Hills make Brendan Rodgers 3/1 favourite and also offer 5/1 Fergie; 6/1 Lambert; 7/1 Moyes; 9/1 Mancini; Pardew; 12/1 Redknapp. Others on request. ‘Several managers have been outstanding so far this season and we could see one of the less feted bosses taking the honour’ said Hill’s spokesman Graham Sharpe.

HILLS NOW MAKE NEWCASTLE 4/9 TO FINISH ABOVE LIVERPOOL.
Who will finish higher in the PL 2011/12? Liverpool 13/8Newcastle 4/9

T4 Finish – 1/12 Arsenal; 1/6 Spurs; 2/1 Chelsea; 16/1 Newcastle; 40/1 Liverpool.

Chelsea finished their draw against Spurs with both Torres and Drogba on the pitch. William Hill are offering 1/2 that Drogba scores more Premier League goals than Fernando Torres between now and the end of the season (6/4 vice versa). Drogba’s long term future at Chelsea is in doubt and he is 5/6 to be there on the first day of next season, the same price to have left by then. Despite his poor recent form, Hills offer 4/11 that Torres is still at Chelsea come the first day of next season -2/1 that he has left.

Robert Mancini is now 2/5 still to be in charge at Manchester City on the first day of next season, 7/4 not to. Another under pressure manager, following defeat by struggling Wigan is Kenny Dalglish – now down to 5/2 to suffer that fate.
Temporary boss, Di Matteo has only been defeated once since taking over at Chelsea and is 11/4 to become permanent. Jose Mourinho is the 9/4 favourite with Pep Guardiola at 7/2.

Chelsea are now 10/1 to overhaul 4/7 favourites, Arsenal, and 6/4 Spurs in the battle to be top London club, while they are 15/8 to make the top four.

Wigan’s shock win shook up the relegation odds. Wolves are 8/11 from Evens to finish bottom, and can be backed at 4/1 to survive. Wigan and QPR are both 1/ 4 to be relegated and 11/4 to survive with Bolton 11/8 and 8/15, Blackburn 9/4 and 1/ 3.

Super Goal Makes Crouchy 5/2 To Go To Euros…city Out To 6/4 For League Title

Manchester City moved to the top of the table although failed to get the victory that they would have wanted and William Hill make them 6/4 to win the Premier League. Despite a strong start to the season, Manchester City have gone off the boil and are in real danger of letting the chance of league victory slipping through their fingers. Should that happen, Mancini could well be on his way and William Hill offer 7/4 that he is no longer in charge of Manchester City come the start of next season (2/5 to still be there).

“If Mancini did not know the meaning of squeaky bum time, he will certainly be getting the message now, something that will not be lost on Sir Alex,” said Hill’s spokesman Joe Crilly.

Peter Crouch scored a wonder goal preventing City from getting the win and he will be hopeful of getting a call up to the England squad for the Euros. William Hill make him 5/2 to get the call up (2/7 to be left at home).
