53/1 TO PREDICT ENGLAND’S EURO GROUP

WILLIAM HILL have offered punters a 53/1 shot to predict the three teams England will be facing in their Euro 2012 Group – and offer 14/5 that they will be draw with Rep of Ireland and 14/5 with Spain. ‘Although in theory there is an exactly equal chance of England meeting any particular one of their potential opponents we all know that the universe likes to play tricks and deliberately devise Groups with story lines – for example, you’d think it must be preordained that England and Republic of Ireland will end up in the same Group – so we are offering 14/5 to name any individual one of England’s opponents, 13/1 to successfully tip two of them, and 53/1 to come up with all three’ said Hill’s spokesman Graham Sharpe.

WILLIAM HILL…WHO WILL ENGLAND DRAW FROM EACH POT…
14/5; Spain; 14/1 Holland; 14/5 Ukraine; 14/5 Poland
14/5 Croatia; 14/5 Greece; 14/5 Sweden; 14/5 Portugal
14/5 Denmark; 14/5 Czech Rep;14/5 France; 14/5 Republic of Ireland,

13/1 Doubles; 53/1 Trebles.

WILLIAM HILL TO WIN EURO 2012…5/2 Spain; 10/3 Germany; 6/1 Holland; 10/1 Italy; 11/1 England/France; 16/1 Portugal; 20/1 Russia; 33/1 Ukraine; 40/1 Croatia; 50/1 Denmark; Greece; Poland; Sweden; 66/1 Rep Ire; Czech Rep.

HOW MANY POINTS WILL NEWCASTLE TAKE FROM NEXT THREE GAMES?

MANCHESTER CITY ARE 10/1 to remain undefeated all season in the Premier League with William Hill who make Newcastle 100/1 to do likewise. The two meet this weekend, then Newcastle face Man U and Chelsea in their next two games – and Hills are quoting odds about how many points they will amass from the three games:
0-9/4; 1- 7/4; 2/3/4- 2/1; 5+ – 7/1.
HILLS ARE 14/1 THAT NEWCASTLE AVOID DEFEAT IN ALL THREE OF THESE GAMES.

Lucky Punters Quids In After Weekend Football Feast

Two William Hill punters were over the moon as they both scooped a small fortune on the football this weekend. The two winners from Sidcup and Watford netted £28,333.76 between them from just £13.75.

The Sidcup punter, who regularly bets on the football at the weekend, placed a £10, 12 team accumulator on Saturday morning and was waiting on four results on Sunday to bag him £17,368.63. Leeds, Brighton, Tottenham and Reading duly won to add to wins from Cardiff, Rangers and Manchester United amongst others.

The Watford based punter placed a 25p Lucky 15 (a four selection bet consisting of four singles, six doubles, four trebles and one fourfold) which returned £10,965.13. Rather than selecting sides to win, lose or draw, the gutsy punter predicted four correct scores. The selections were Aston Villa to defeat Norwich 3-2 at 25/1, Arsenal to win against West Brom 3-0, Newcastle recording a 2-1 victory over Everton at 15/2 and a 3-1 win for Spurs over Fulham at 16/1.

“It is incredibly difficult to predict the outcome of a match, let alone the correct score and so to do so four times on one bet is almost unprecedented,” said Hill’s spokesman Joe Crilly. “We have to take our hats off to this punter, who has increased his initial outlay by almost 3000 times.”

Sidcup Bet – £10 stake won £17,368.63 Watford Bet – £3.75

11/10 Ri-no Ferdinand ?

11/10 RI-NO FERDINAND ?

WILLIAM HILL are offering 11/10 that Rio Ferdinand will be left out of Manchester United’s starting line up for the Premier League game against Everton this weekend. ‘There may well be one or two casualties from the City mauling, and Rio could be the highest profile absentee’ said Hill’s spokesman Graham Sharpe. He is, though, 4/6 to start the game.
Hills make David de Gea, beaten six times in that match, 2/7 to retain his place, 5/2 to be dropped.

STILL GOALS GALORE AT CITY?

City are 8/13 to score in both halves with Hills who offer 11/2 that there will be six or more goals scored in total in the game.
City are 11/2 with Hills to be the highest Prem scorers over the weekend and the game against Wolves is 9/2 to be the highest scoring match of the weekend in the Premier League

You Bet Relegation Changes Will Be Booted Into Row Z

Controversial changes regarding the potential elimination of relegation from the Premier League do not look likely to be introduced anytime soon according to William Hill. The bookies offer 10/1 that relegation is abolished before the start of the 2016/17 season and go 11/2 that the number of teams relegated from the Premier League each season is reduced from three by the same date.

“These proposed changes have not gone down well at all with supporters of non-Premier League clubs and we think that the FA will share these concerns and veto any approach to eliminate relegation,” said Hill’s spokesman Joe Crilly.

Premier League relegation to be reduced from three before the start of the 2016/17 season: 11/2 yes; 1/10 no

Will Carroll Be Singing Following Rooney’s Rush Of Blood?

Wayne Rooney’s red card against Montenegro means that he will miss the opening game of Euro 2012 and William Hill are offering 10/11 that Andy Carroll is the man to start up top in England’s opener. Danny Welbeck is 6/5 second favourite with Theo Walcott 5/4. Rooney’s rush of blood to the head is being portrayed as an isolated incident but Hills go 20/1 about him getting his marching orders against Liverpool on Saturday.

“Rooney’s rush of blood has opened the door for someone else to come in and impress for Capello’s men at Euro 2012 and the odds suggest that Andy Carroll will be the one to benefit,” said Hill’s spokesman Joe Crilly.

Ireland are the shortest priced team to qualify for Euro 2012 via the playoffs after they were drawn against Estonia. Trapattoni’s men are 1/3 to reach Poland and Ukraine while Estonia are 9/4. Portugal failed to qualify automatically and face Bosnia. Hills offer 4/9 that they make it through the two legged tie.

Ireland’s first game is away and they are 13/10 to return from Estonia with a victory in the bag.

To Start England’s First Euro 2012 Match: 10/11 Andy Carroll; 6/5 Danny Welbeck; 5/4 Theo Walcott; 2/1 Jermaine Defoe; 5/2 Darren Bent; 7/2 Gabby Agbonlaor; 7/2 Daniel Sturridge; 7/2 Bobby Zamora; 4/1 Peter Crouch; 8/1 Connor Wickham; 11/1 Jay Bothroyd; 14/1 Michael Owen; 16/1 Cameron Jerome

WITH BOTH Michael Owen and Owen Hargreaves having made successful comebacks this week, William Hill are quoting odds about the pair making England comebacks and about how many Premier League goals they will score this season for United and City respectively. ‘It would be a tremendous boost not only for their clubs, but for the national side if these two could recapture their glory days’ said Hill’s spokesman Graham Sharpe.

Goalless Draw Signals Relegation Scrap More Likely Than Lofty Expectations

Following the 0-0 draw between QPR and Newcastle, William Hill are offering 25/1 (QPR) and 12/1 (Newcastle) respectively that the sides qualify for Europe this season. Hills offer 9/4 that QPR are relegated this season and 7/1 that Newcastle are. QPR are 1/3 to stay up, while Newcastle are 1/16. Newcastle have been cut to 80/1 for a top four finish with QPR offered at 200/1.

“The result indicates a dull, goalless draw but in reality it was anything but,” said Hill’s spokesman Joe Crilly. “It has shown us that both sides will have a lot to say within the league but would have to be considered more as relegation fodder than European contenders.”

Joey Barton made his debut for QPR and William Hill offer 4/1 that he scores six or more goals for the Royals this season and he is 1/2 to avoid a red card all season.

William Hill Odds:

Joey Barton Premier League Red Cards 2011/12: ½ none; 5/2 one; 9/2 one

Raining Goals At The Reebok…when Will Manchester Lose?

The two Manchester sides produced two more polished and efficient performances and William Hill are offering odds on how many the pair will score between them next weekend and make go odds-on at 4/6 that between them they score less than five. With both sides maintaining a 100% record, Hills make Manchester City 4/7 to lose first of the two, with United 5/4 to do so. Hills offer 100/1 that both sides end the season undefeated. Wayne Rooney scored his second consecutive hat-trick against Bolton and Hills offer 33/1 that he completes a hat-trick of hat-tricks against Chelsea next week.

Manchester United are 1/2 to end the season having scored more goals than their “noisy neighbours” who are 6/4 to do so. United are 11/10 to win the league with Manchester City 15/8. Chelsea are 9/2.

“United and City are beginning to pull away from their nearest challengers and the clinical way in which both sides are going about their business indicates that any side that comes up against the two powerhouses from Manchester will be turned over with consummate ease,” said Hill’s spokesman Joe Crilly. “Our punters are going Manchester Mad this season.”

A side at the other end of the table, Swansea, are still to score in the Premier League but Hills think they will break their duck against West Brom next week at 1/3, with the Chelsea game 10/3. They are 5/1 to score their first goal against Stoke and 16/1 that they do not score in either of those games.

You Bet Manchester Top Guns To Shoot Down Opposition

In their last Premier League games, the Manchester sides racked up 13 goals between them and despite coming up against, arguably, weaker opposition this weekend Hills offer 33/1 that they net 14 or more. The favourite is 4-6 goals at 11/10. Both sides are comfortable favourites to win their respective games with United 4/9 to beat Bolton and City 1/5 to beat Wigan. City are also 4/5 to be top of the Premier League come Monday evening, with Manchester United breathing down their necks at 11/8. Chelsea are the third favourites at 10/1. With Rooney and Dzeko both bagging hat tricks last time out, Hills offer 4/1 that there is a Premier League hat trick this weekend.

“The start of the season has all been about Manchester and they are scoring for fun,” said Hill’s spokesman Joe Crilly. “We don’t, however think that they will be quite as emphatic as they were before the international break.”
