With a full weekend’s worth of Championship fixtures, Hills are offering a number of match specials and make the match between Peterborough and Crystal Palace the 11/2 favourite to be the top scoring match and are offering 12/1 about Burnley being the fastest scoring side with the same price offered for Nottingham Forest, Peterborough, Brighton and West Ham to be so. 15/8 is offered about there being two red cards this weekend, while 9/4 is available for one and 11/2 four or more.

Will Becks Be England Gaffer Or England Gaffe?

David Beckham brushed aside questions about him becoming England manager in the future, but William Hill think that he may well dip his toes into the managerial pond at some point in the future. Beckham is 20/1 to take over from Fabio Capello although Hills go Even money that Beckham’s first managerial foray takes place in the USA. Hills go 2/1 that he can be seen striding the touchline in England.

“Beckham was an incredibly popular player and the chances are that he would prove a popular choice as England manager, although he may have to cut his teeth at a lower level before getting the big job,” said Hill’s spokesman Joe Crilly.

It would appear that management may be the way forward for Becks with Hills offering 11/2 that he ever starts another game for England and 9/4 that he makes an appearance at any point for the Three Lions, although 2/1 is available for him to start a match for Team GB at London 2012.

Aston Villa have confirmed the signing of Charles N’Zogbia from Wigan and William Hill think he will have a better season than the player he was brought in to replace, Stewart Downing. Hills go 8/11 that N’Zogbia starts more Premier League games than Downing, while Downing is 11/8 to start more than the Frenchman.

Hills also go 4/7 about N’Zogbia scoring more goals than Downing, who is 8/5.

“If reports are to be believed, Villa have made a profit of around £10 million by selling Downing and bringing in N’Zogbia and it appears that the new Clarets wide man may well be utilised more this season than the man that he has replaced,” said Hill’s spokesman Joe Crilly.

Hills are offering a number of next club specials on some of the higher profile players being talked about in this summer’s transfer window. Real Madrid are the 4/6 favourites to be the next club to capture Neymar’s signature, while Arsenal are 1/3 to be Juan Mata’s next club. Lampard Set To Go Head To Head With Wilshere As Leicester Not Too Foxy For Becks

There are many reports suggesting that Frank Lampard’s England career may be over due to the emergence of Jack Wilshere but William Hill think that he still has a role to play, offering 7/4 that he starts more competitive England games this season than the Arsenal ace. Hills go 6/4 about Wilshere starting more and 7/4 that they start the exact same amount of games.

“There are many people saying that Lampard may have lost his position to Wilshere but we think that there is still life in the old dog yet and he will give the young buck a good run for his money this season,” said Hill’s spokesman Joe Crilly.

Sven Goran-Eriksson has stated his desire to take David Beckham to Leicester in January, although Hills think that an appearance for the Foxes is unlikely, offering 8/1 that he plays a league game in a Leicester shirt this season.

Home Nations Horror: You Bet England Only Side To Qualify For World Cup!

The World Cup draw in Rio provided quite the fillip for disillusioned England fans as they were drawn in the same group as Montenegro, Poland, Ukraine, Moldova and San Marino. England are 1/3 to win their group and 1/10 to qualify for the finals in Brazil. England are also2/1 to remain unbeaten for the entirety of their qualifying group.
