Giroud 20/1 To Top Score In Debut Season

Olivier Giroud has signed for Arsenal today and the French striker is 20/1 with William Hill to take the English game by storm and be this season’s top goal scorer in the Premier League with Arsenal 6/1 to be crowned champions in May.

Giroud is Arsene Wenger’s second signing in attack this summer with Lukas Podolski already signed before Euro 2012. Podolski is 6/4 to net more goals than Giroud in his debut season with Giroud at 1/2 to outscore his German counterpart.

With all the new signings in attack thus far for The Gunners, the future of Robin Van Persie still stands in the balance. Hill’s believe the Arsenal captain could go either way with it being 5/6 he stays and 5/6 he doesn’t. If he does go, Manchester City are 6/4 to pick up the Dutchman. Juventus are 3/1, Manchester United are 6/1 and Real Madrid are quoted at 10/1.

Despite the positive signings at the Emirates, the Gunners are fancied to end up trophy less come May. William Hill have them at 1/4 to pick up no trophies, 25/1 for a Premier League and FA Cup double and 1000/1 for a clean sweep of the FA Cup, the Capital One Cup, the Premier League and the Champions League.

“Giroud is a positive signing from Wenger but whether Van Persie stays or not is vital. A bit of luck, keeping RVP, an injury free campaign and a full return to fitness and form for Jack Wilshere is still needed to convince people that Arsenal are serious challengers,” said William Hill spokesman Mark Young.

You Bet New Scholes Set For Starting Role At Old Trafford

Manchester United have competed the signing of highly rated Japanese international, Shinji Kagawa and William Hill think that he will go straight into the first team, offering 9/4 that he makes between 16 and 20 with the same price for him to start 11-15 games. He is 11/2 to make 26 or more starts. Lastseason Kagawa scored 16 goals in all competitions for Borussia Dortmund and Hills think that his goalscoring form could continue, offering 5/2 that he scores between eight and 11 Premier League goals and 11/4 that he bags between 12 and 15.

“Kagawa is an incredibly bright prospect for Manchester United and very much a long term replacement for Scholes in that he can boss the midfield and chip in with the occasional goal as well,” said Hill’s spokesman Joe Crilly.

William Hill Kagawa Prices:

How many starts will Shinji Kagawa Make In 2012/13 Season: 3/1 under 10; 9/4 11-15; 9/4 16-20; 3/1 21-25; 11/2 26 or over

John Ruddy has been forced out of the England Euro’s squad and 19 year-old keeper, Jack Butland has been called in to replace him. He is not the youngest person to have been called up, however, with Alex Oxlade Chamberlain the sole 18 year-old. William Hill are betting on who will be the youngest player to feature in the match against France and make the Ox the 15/8 favourite, with Danny Welbeck 9/4 and Phil Jones 11/4. How Long Will Manchester Dominate For Now?

After two 2-0 victories for the two Manchester sides, the advantage stays on Manchester City and William Hill make them 1/9 to lift the Premier League trophy while Manchester United are 5/1. Following the dominance of both sides this season, Hills are now betting on when the League is won by anyone but the blues or reds from Manchester. Next season is the 7/4 favourite although it is 2/1 for the trophy to not be lifted by Manchester until 2015/16 or later.

“Despite the two sides being level on points, the fate of the Premier League trophy rests firmly with City and only an unlikely defeat to QPR next weekend will prevent them from lifting their first Premier League title,” said Hill’s spokesman Joe Crilly.

When will a non Manchester side win the Premier League: 7/4 2012/13; 11/4 2013/14; 9/2 2014/15; 2/1 2015/16 or later

You Bet Cup Final Can Outdo Manc Derby

YOU BET CUP FINAL CAN OUTDO MANC DERBY!

WILLIAM HILL are predicting that the FA Cup Final will produce a bigger betting turnover than the crucial Manchester City v Manchester United Premier League title showdown game earlier this week. ‘Some £20m was gambled on the Manchester derby, but with a north versus south clash in the Cup Final and with both managers battling to secure their futures at the clubs we are anticipating a betting bonanza exceeding that total’ said Hill’s spokesman Graham Sharpe.
Chelsea are favourites to lift the trophy, at 4/6 with William Hill who offer Liverpool at 5/4; while Chelsea are 15/4 to win both the Cup and the Champions League (9/4 to win neither). Defeat at Wembley could spell the end of Kenny Dalglish’s current reign at Liverpool and he is 8/11 with Hills not to be in charge at the start of next season, and Even money still to be in place. ‘Liverpool’s unimpressive League position could well outweigh the achievement of winning the Carling Cup, but Kenny would have a much stronger case to continue in the job if he adds the FA Cup’ said Sharpe.
Roberto Di Matteo has won admirers with the way he has steadied the Chelsea ship since he took over on a temporary basis, and Hills now make him 8/11 still to hold the role at the start of next season, although other contenders include 11/2 joint second favourites Jose Mourinho and Pep Guardiola, while Fabio Capello has suggested he would like to manage in the Premier League and has been made 9/1 joint fourth favourite for the Chelsea job – and 5/2 to be managing any Prem side by the start of next season.

City Steal Title March…8/15 To Win On Goal Difference

Manchester City took a vital win in the battle to land the Premier League and William Hill now make the blue half of Manchester 4/9 to be celebrating come the end of the season. Manchester United are 13/8. Despite the defeat, Hills make Ferguson 8/15 to outlast Mancini (11/8 not to). City now lead on goal difference and they are 8/15 to win the title in that way (United are 14/1 to do so).

“Manchester City have now stolen a march on their rivals with the finishing post firmly in sight, but a tricky fixture at Newcastle could well see their title ambitions tempered,” said Hill’s spokesman Joe Crilly.

A fantastic night of football was highlighted by the fact that Hills took well over a million pounds on the night and over 40,000 bets on the 90 minutes market alone. Over 20,000 bets were staked online in-running.

“Phew, our compilers deserve a rest after that,” said Hill’s spokesman Joe Crilly. “We were expecting a busy one but that far exceeded anyone’s expectations.”

Premier League outright: 4/9 City; 13/8 Utd

Win the title on goal difference: 8/15 City; 14/1 United

Manchester Derby: You Bet Bookies Are Ready To Batten Down The Hatches

William Hill expect the Manchester derby to attract more bets than any other Premier League game ever. In the hour before kick off, Hills predict that up to 8,000 bets will be placed on the game. Manchester City are the 5/4 favourites to win the match, with United 5/2 and the draw 2/1.

“This is without doubt the biggest Manchester Derby ever and we are expecting betting interest to go through the roof,” said Hill’s spokesman Joe Crilly. “We are fully expecting this to be the busiest match, in terms of bets placed, in the history of the Premier League.”

Hills are enhancing the price of both Rooney and Tevez to open the scoring both from 7/1 to 8/1. For Tevez to score and City to win is 4/1 while Rooney to score anytime and United to win is 5/1.

After the ignominy of losing 6-1 at home the last time these two sides met, United are 500/1 to return the favour, while City are 250/1 to win by the same scoreline again.

Despite the home advantage for the derby, Manchester United are 4/9 to lift the Premier League trophy, with City 7/4.

William Hill mobile is also offering a money back special to all customers whereby should your first scorer selection score second instead, you will receive your money back in the form of a free bet (up to and including the value of £50).
