IS ENGLAND CAREER OVER FOR OWEN?

Although Michael Owen is hoping to win his England place back, William Hill offer 3/1 that he will play any part in the Euro 2012 qualifying matches. ‘Michael may have to face up to the fact that his England career is over as Capello has shown little enthusiasm for restoring him to the side’ said Hill’s spokesman Graham Sharpe.

William Hill are offering odds of 7/4 that Wales gain three points over the two games, 9/4 that they get no points and 20/1 that they get six.

Ian Rush, whose only foray into management was a short stint with Chester, is the Even Money favourite and Chris Coleman is 9/2 third favourite.

Much depends on how well Wales fare over these two qualifiers. Should they do well, Flynn would be a shoo-in, although should Wales fail to perform, there are contenders waiting in the wings, said Hills spokesman Joe Crilly.
