Martinez 2nd Fav To Be Next Boss Out

MARTINEZ OUT’ ODDS COLLAPSE

Roberto Martinez has been backed from 16/1 to 2/1 second favourite to be the next Premier League manager to leave his club with William Hill who make Steve Kean 11/10 favourite with Steve Bruce at 11/4; Mick McCarthy 5/1; Owen Coyle 6/1. ‘Given Martinez’ decision to stay with Wigan rather than go to Villa last season we have never felt he was under much pressure despite adverse results, but of course, it is always possible that he may decide to walk away should results not improve soon’ said Hill’s spokesman Graham Sharpe, ‘So when punters began to back him to be the next boss to go we had to act.’
HILLS MAKE MARTINEZ 5/6 TO BE WIGAN BOSS ON THE FIRST DAY OF NEXT SEASON, 5/6 NOT TO.

NEW Doncaster signing El Hadji-Diouf is 2/1 with William Hill to be sent off during his three month stint at the club. (Bets run until Jan 31, 2012 and are for 1st team competitive games only)

Van Persie Fires Hat-trick To Leave Villas-boas Facing The Pressure

On the other hand, Arsenal appear to have turned a corner and Arsene Wenger is 2/7 to start next season as Arsenal manager. Despite winning, Arsenal’s defensive woes continued and Hills make them 6/4 to concede 51 to 60 goals and 5/2 to concede 51-60. They are 33/1 to concede over 80 this Premier League season.

“Chelsea have now registered two straight defeats and should this run continue, Villas Boas could find himself signing on come the start of next season a la Ancelotti,” said Hill’s spokesman Joe Crilly.

Robin van Persie scored his second hat-trick of the season and Hills are offering 2/5 that he scores over 20 Premier League goals this season while Frank Lampard, who scored once more, is 4/1 to bag 20 or more Premier League goals.

4/1 All Manchester Carling Cup Final

Manchester United are the 15/8 favourites to win this year’s Carling Cup, ahead of Manchester City at 3/1. With the two Manchester sides hogging the top two spots in the Premier League, the pair are 4/1 to meet in the final of the Cup. With two non-Premier League sides still in the competition, they are understandably outsiders to win with Cardiff 16/1 and Crystal Palace 66/1.

“Manchester United and City have been on top form this season and it is feasible to envisage the pair meeting in the Final,” said Hill’s spokesman Joe Crilly.

Arguably the stand out tie of the Quarter Finals is the Arsenal Manchester City match and Hills make City 8/13 to qualify for the Semis, with Arsenal 6/5.

Quarter Finals – Who Will Qualify:
6/5 Arsenal; 8/13 Manchester City
1/2 Chelsea; 6/4 Liverpool
1/16 Manchester United; 7/1 Crystal Palace

You Bet Relegation Changes Will Be Booted Into Row Z

Controversial changes regarding the potential elimination of relegation from the Premier League do not look likely to be introduced anytime soon according to William Hill. The bookies offer 10/1 that relegation is abolished before the start of the 2016/17 season and go 11/2 that the number of teams relegated from the Premier League each season is reduced from three by the same date.

“These proposed changes have not gone down well at all with supporters of non-Premier League clubs and we think that the FA will share these concerns and veto any approach to eliminate relegation,” said Hill’s spokesman Joe Crilly.

William Hill Relegation Specials:

Premier League relegation to be reduced from three before the start of the 2016/17 season: 11/2 yes; 1/10 no
